Dear admission officer,
I am an undergraduate applicant applying for XXXX (programme name), and my name is XXX with date of birth XXX and UCAS ID XXXXXX. I have already received a conditional offer with conditions AAA in XXX subjects.
I am writing to argue for the opportunity of reviewing my entry condition.
I believe the CAIE results do not correctly show my academic ability. (Provide evidence of your usual performance) The score I get from the final exam in my center is XXX, and I was ranked XXXth in my group. My GPA is XXX in AS year……
I would really appreciate your effort and time, if possible, to review my entry condition into this program. This program is my first choice and I really appreciate any opportunity to join this program. (Expressing that I really want to enter this department)
I have attached my usual performance in this email, including GPA, final exam scores, etc. If you need any more evidence to confirm my academic ability, please do not hesitate to email me.
Thank you
Best regards,

Dear Admission Officer,
Name:
UCAS ID:
Thank you very much for processing our results and admissions recently. I understand that it must be a really busy period for you, but I hope you wouldn’t mind me contacting you for a difficult situation I am in now, and I am seeking for your help.
Today I received my Alevel results (A* in Maths / Physics /Further Math, but B in Chemistry) where my chemistry result is so far away from what my school and I was expecting, and this would strongly affect my admission to Cambridge.
According to my AS Chemistry results (92/100) and academic ranking as No.1 in our cohort, my school and I were both expecting an A* for me in chemistry. My predicted grade given by chemistry head teacher is also A*. So the final results of B in chemistry is very out of blue.
I have met the Math/Physics/Further Maths conditions as well as the given language requirements. Meanwhile, my school is contacting the CAIE exam board as well to dispute for my results. I have worked really hard for the past two years to achieve my dream to study in Cambridge. I really hope that I could get a fair evaluation for my performance.
I would really appreciate it if we could arrange a call to discuss the situation, or if you could suggest anything that I or my school could do to save the situation. I am really sorry to bring this to you, but really hope you could help me with this difficult situation.
Thank you so much in advance.
Best Regards,

To whom it may concern:
Today’s CAIE A level result shows I didn’t meet the requirements for my conditional offer of Imperial College. I am writing to argue for the possibility of reviewing my entry condition as the mark doesn’t match with my true ability.
My conditional offer needs “GCE A Levels Grades A* in Further Mathematics and Grade A in one other subject”.
I got grade A* and A in Physics (9702) and Chemistry (9701) which means I have passed the second condition. But I got grade B only in Further mathematics (9231). I think my result of Further mathematics is seriously underestimated this time.
Here is some evidence of my strong academic ability in mathematics:
80 score of MAT exam in 2022
Grade A* in A level Mathematics
Several good grades in Mathematics competition, specifically write down what competition and other science competition (as my teacher submitted to UCAS)
All the notes I have taken for Further mathematics together with sufficient practice in past paper reviews could also been taken as the evidences of learning.
I have enough evidence to prove that my academic ability in mathematics is far better than my score this time. I also have already met the English language requirement.
I would really appreciate your effort and time, if possible, to review my entry condition into this programme. This program is my first choice and I really appreciate any opportunity to join.
Yours sincerely,

Dear Admissions Officer/Tutor,
My name is xxx (DoB xxx, UCAS ID xxx) and I am an applicant with a conditional offer for xxx at your college/university.
Confident to meet the A level results, I was very much looking forward to joining the community of xxx in October and to meet you and xxx again. Devastated that xxx interruptions have contributed to the deviation from my normal performance in xxx, I am writing to underscore my abilities and ambitions in this subject, which has always been my forte.
If possible, I would be delighted to speak with you over the phone about this unfortunate misperformance related to xxx incident.
Yours Sincerely,

Students should have noticed that each template will be tailored to their individual circumstances.
But generally, the following requirements should be met:
·Remember to include your personal information, such as your name, ID number, and UCAS ID.
·If there are extenuating circumstances (such as those affected by the pandemic or illness), please indicate this in your appeal letter.
·Be sure to provide evidence to demonstrate that your final grade is inconsistent with your typical performance and does not reflect your level.
·Be polite and modest in your tone, and avoid exaggeration.
e.g., “appreciate,” “thanks,” “if possible”, it would be really helpful if you could.
You can use this kind of vocabulary more often, but don’t be rude.
·Be sincere and express your passion for the program and how your A-level results really don’t match your usual grades.
Finally, I emphasize again:
Do not copy and paste!!!
Repetitive appeal letters will put off admissions officers.
